The glossy walnut stock with close-radius pistol grip and palm swell delivers a sleek and classic look and is also ergo-balanced for improved recoil control and less muzzle jump. The stock boasts a Monte Carlo cheekpiece, and the semi-beavertail forearm offers finger grooves. Ventilated top- and side-rib ported barrel enhances fast-shooting control. Browning’s barrels are made from rolled and tempered steel bars, stress-relieved to offer exceptional mechanical properties, and then precision-drilled, reamed, and honed to exact specifications. The 725’s chrome chambers are durable and corrosion-resistant. For positive primer ignition, Citori hammers are driven by powerful coil-type mainsprings. Convenient barrel selector allows you to choose which barrel fires on the first pull of the single trigger; the second pull fires the remaining barrel. Ejectors are fired by a sharp hammer blow for more positive ejection. The 725 showcases a mechanical FireLite trigger that offers unmatched feel and lighter pull weights. Utilizing a mechanical trigger, it’s possible to pull the trigger and release a hammer with each pull, regardless of whether the first shot fires. In conjunction with FireLite, the Triple Trigger system has 3 trigger shoes and adjustable length of pull. Browning was the first manufacturer to recognize the merits of a back-bored barrel. Exploring this concept further with Vector Pro, it features a longer forcing cone than other systems. The long, gradual taper minimizes shot deformation, and it increases pattern uniformity, consistency, and density. Back boring increases bore diameter to its maximum specification, reducing friction between the shot cup and the barrel to propel the shot pellets to a higher velocity and reduce felt recoil. Action also features hammer ejectors and top-tang barrel selector/safety. The HiViz ® Pro-Comp sight and ivory midbead deliver fast target acquisition. Locking bolt and hinge pin is a strong transverse-mounted, full-width tapered recess in the rear barrel lugs. Tapering the bolt and recess allows the bolt to seat deeper, accommodating for wear.
